Beginning his career in architecture, London-born photographer Dan Smith gradually shifted his focus to photography, attracted by its boundless creative potential. Armed with a first-class degree in Film & Photography, he embarked on his journey by assisting esteemed photographers in the mid-90s. It was during this period that he cultivated a profound love for photography and the intricacies of light, refining his skills by shooting editorials for renowned publications like The Face. 

His signature stripped-back style celebrates the innate beauty of his subjects, earning him commissions from prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, and Harper's Bazaar. Alongside his international work as a commercial photographer for luxury brands, he indulges his passion for windsurfing, seeking solace and inspiration along the coastal shores from his English South Coast beach house to the East Coasts of Brazil.
